Personal Experience
After using this Hatteker grooming kit extensively, I found it is a surprisingly capable all-in-one grooming solution for its price. If you’re trying to cover your beard, hair, body, and detail grooming without buying several dedicated tools, this kit can save you a considerable amount of money.
I tested every attachment, both with and without the guide combs, and the overall trimming performance was better than I expected from a budget trimmer. The self-sharpening blades are genuinely sharp and cut beard and hair efficiently. I never experienced noticeable pulling or tugging, which is something I’ve encountered with many inexpensive trimmers.
However, the foil shaver attachment was the weakest part of the kit for me. It felt rather dull and often required two or three passes over the same area to achieve a reasonably close result. It also works best when the stubble is already very short. I had to trim the hair down to the shortest setting before using the foil head, and it struggled with stubble longer than about 1mm. That makes sense because this is primarily a multigrooming kit rather than a dedicated electric shaver, and the foil attachment feels more suitable for occasional body shaving than regular close facial shaving.
I also noticed that the trimmer becomes less convincing with longer comb settings. When using the adjustable comb at around 8mm or above, the attachment felt less stable during trimming and gave me a somewhat cheaper, less controlled feel.

Philips Multigroom 3000: The Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000 is one of the more popular affordable multigrooming kits, and after using both, I found that it has a few important advantages over the Hatteker beard trimmer.
The Multigroom 3000 comes with 13 grooming pieces and uses a full-size trimmer head for both facial and scalp hair, while Hatteker provides separate heads for these tasks. In my experience, Philips’ dual-sided self-sharpening blades felt sharper and cut hair more efficiently than the Hatteker blades. It also includes several guide combs, a nose and ear trimmer, and a precision trimmer.
One thing I missed on the Philips was a foil shaving attachment. However, if your main goal is trimming and shaping facial and head hair, I don’t consider its absence a major drawback. Like Hatteker, the Multigroom 3000 is washable, so the attachments can be rinsed easily after use.
Both trimmers provide around 60 minutes of cordless runtime, but there is a significant difference in charging time. Hatteker takes about 90 minutes to fully charge, while the Multigroom 3000 takes roughly 3 hours.
Where Philips clearly wins for me is build quality. Its plastic construction feels noticeably sturdier and more refined in the hand, whereas the Hatteker feels a little more budget-oriented. Hatteker, however, counters with features you won’t find on the Philips, including a digital LCD battery display and a dedicated storage stand.
So, which one should you choose? If build quality and sharper trimming performance are your priorities, I’d choose the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000.
