Hatteker Beard Trimmer Review: Cheap Hidden Gem or Just a Waste of Money?

Updated on: August 14, 2026 | By: Ryan M.

Hatteker is quickly making a name for itself in the beard and hair grooming market, especially among shoppers looking for feature-packed tools without spending a lot. The Chinese brand offers a growing range of shavers, beard trimmers, and multigrooming kits, and its combination of features and affordable pricing has helped it gain attention.

But popularity and a low price tag don’t necessarily make a trimmer worth buying. Can Hatteker actually deliver the grooming performance, build quality, and convenience you’d expect from a good trimmer; or is the hype bigger than the product?

In this review, I’ll put the Hatteker beard and hair trimmer under the microscope, covering its performance, build quality, features, battery life, ease of use, and overall value to help you decide whether it deserves a place in your grooming kit.

Insights

5 in 1 Grooming Kit: Although the Hatteker is often marketed as a beard trimmer, it is actually a 5-in-1 grooming kit designed to handle multiple grooming tasks with a single device.

It comes with five interchangeable heads, each suited to a different grooming need from trimming and shaping facial hair to managing hair on other areas of the body. This makes it a practical all-in-one option for men who want versatility without buying several separate grooming tools.

Self-sharpening Blades: The Hatteker beard trimmer comes with stainless steel, self-sharpening blades designed to maintain their cutting performance over time. This means the blades sharpen against each other during use, helping them stay effective without requiring much maintenance.

The sharp cutting edges deliver a smooth, consistent trim across different hair types. With proper care, the blades should remain usable for a long time, reducing the need for frequent blade or head replacements.

100% Washable Design: This Hatteker grooming kit is 100% washable, making cleanup quick and hassle-free. You can rinse the device and its attachments directly under running water to remove the dust and debris.

For a deeper clean, you can rinse the heads thoroughly and gently shake off any trapped hair or water. The waterproof design also makes the trimmer suitable for wet environments and shower use, adding extra convenience to your grooming routine.

Lithium Battery: The Hatteker beard trimmer uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that delivers up to 60 minutes of cordless runtime from a full 90-minute charge. That’s enough power for several grooming sessions before you need to recharge.

It also supports 5-minute quick charging, giving you enough power for a quick grooming session when the battery runs out unexpectedly.

For charging flexibility, the package includes both an AC adapter and a USB charging cable. If either one gets damaged, you can replace the cable or adapter without replacing the entire charging setup.

LED Battery Display: A clear LED display on the front of the trimmer keeps you informed about the battery status at a glance. It shows the remaining runtime in minutes, so you’ll know exactly how much grooming time is left and when it’s time to recharge.

It’s a small but useful feature that adds both convenience and a more premium feel to the device.

What’s in the Box

Hatteker Beard Trimmer Included Accessories

The Hatteker beard trimmer comes as a surprisingly comprehensive 17-piece grooming kit, giving you almost everything you need for an all-in-one grooming routine. Along with the main trimmer, the package includes the following accessories:

  1. Full-Size Beard Trimmer Head*1: The full-size beard trimmer head is designed specifically for trimming and shaping facial hair. You can use it with or without a guide comb, giving you greater control over the length and style of your beard. Whether you want a clean, close trim or a longer, more defined beard, this attachment makes it easy to achieve the look you want.
  2. Extra-Wide Hair Trimmer Head*1: The Hatteker kit includes an extra-wide hair trimmer head designed specifically for cutting longer, thicker hair and maintaining scalp hair. Its wider cutting surface covers more hair with each pass, helping you trim larger areas faster and more efficiently. When you need a haircut or want to manage a longer beard, simply detach the existing attachment and fit the wide trimmer head. Pair it with the appropriate guide comb to achieve your desired hair length with less effort.
  3. Nose & Ear Trimmer Head*1: The nose and ear trimmer head is designed for safely and conveniently removing unwanted hair from sensitive areas. Its compact design makes it easier to reach inside the nose and outer ear, helping you keep those often-overlooked areas neat and well-groomed.
  4. Body Groomer/Foil Shaver Head*1: A true multigrooming kit should cover more than just facial and scalp hair, and Hatteker includes a foil-style body groomer for exactly that purpose. The body grooming head is designed to remove unwanted body hair while providing a more comfortable shaving experience than a standard trimmer. Since the entire grooming system is 100% washable, you can easily rinse the attachment after use and even use it in the shower for a convenient wet-grooming routine.
  5. Precision Trimmer Head*1: The narrow precision trimmer head is designed for detailed grooming and those final finishing touches that are difficult to achieve with a wider trimmer. It’s ideal for shaping sideburns, mustaches, eyebrows, and other small areas, while also helping you create clean, defined edges along your beard and hairline. If you want sharper lines and a more polished finish, this attachment is a useful addition to the kit.
  6. Beard & Hair Trimmer Combs*7: The Hatteker kit includes a versatile selection of adjustable and fixed-length guide combs, giving you plenty of control over your beard and hair length. The adjustable dial comb offers trimming lengths from 1mm to 10mm. Simply turn the dial to select your preferred length without changing attachments. For longer beards and hair, there are also four fixed-length combs at 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, and 15mm. These are particularly convenient when you want a consistent length without repeatedly adjusting a dial. The full-size trimmer head also comes with an adjustable 3–6mm comb, adding another useful range for shorter haircuts and beard trimming.
  7. Barber Comb*1
  8. Charging Cable*1
  9. Cleaning Brush*1
  10.  Textile Travel Bag*1
  11. Charging/Countertop Stand*1
  12.  User Manual

Personal Experience

After using this Hatteker grooming kit extensively, I found it is a surprisingly capable all-in-one grooming solution for its price. If you’re trying to cover your beard, hair, body, and detail grooming without buying several dedicated tools, this kit can save you a considerable amount of money.

I tested every attachment, both with and without the guide combs, and the overall trimming performance was better than I expected from a budget trimmer. The self-sharpening blades are genuinely sharp and cut beard and hair efficiently. I never experienced noticeable pulling or tugging, which is something I’ve encountered with many inexpensive trimmers.

However, the foil shaver attachment was the weakest part of the kit for me. It felt rather dull and often required two or three passes over the same area to achieve a reasonably close result. It also works best when the stubble is already very short. I had to trim the hair down to the shortest setting before using the foil head, and it struggled with stubble longer than about 1mm. That makes sense because this is primarily a multigrooming kit rather than a dedicated electric shaver, and the foil attachment feels more suitable for occasional body shaving than regular close facial shaving.

I also noticed that the trimmer becomes less convincing with longer comb settings. When using the adjustable comb at around 8mm or above, the attachment felt less stable during trimming and gave me a somewhat cheaper, less controlled feel.

The battery performance, on the other hand, impressed me. It delivered the promised runtime without any noticeable issues, while the LCD display made it easy to monitor the remaining battery and know when a recharge was needed.

The storage setup is another useful feature, although it isn’t perfect. The included stand keeps the trimmer and some frequently used attachments organized on the countertop, but it cannot hold the entire 17-piece kit at once. I had to keep some accessories in the included storage bag and use both storage solutions alongside each other.

Build quality is fairly typical for this price range. Apart from the stainless steel blades, most of the kit is made from plastic. The materials don’t feel particularly premium, but I also wouldn’t call them excessively cheap or poorly made. For a budget grooming kit, the construction feels acceptable rather than impressive.

Cleaning is one area where the Hatteker performs very well. Because the attachments are washable, I could rinse and clean them easily without much hassle. I usually cleaned the blades thoroughly with liquid soap for better hygiene, although my package did not include the lubricating oil I would normally prefer to use after cleaning.

The Hatteker trimmer has its limitations, but I don’t consider them deal-breakers considering its low price. The trimmer heads perform well, the battery is reliable, the kit is highly versatile, and you get a lot of grooming capability in one package. Just don’t expect the foil attachment to replace a dedicated electric shaver or the longer comb settings to feel as refined as those on a premium trimmer.

Like almost every grooming tool, it has some compromises. The key is that most of Hatteker’s shortcomings are manageable when you consider what this kit offers at such a low price.

Comparison with Alternatives

Philips Multigroom 3000: The Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000 is one of the more popular affordable multigrooming kits, and after using both, I found that it has a few important advantages over the Hatteker beard trimmer.

The Multigroom 3000 comes with 13 grooming pieces and uses a full-size trimmer head for both facial and scalp hair, while Hatteker provides separate heads for these tasks. In my experience, Philips’ dual-sided self-sharpening blades felt sharper and cut hair more efficiently than the Hatteker blades. It also includes several guide combs, a nose and ear trimmer, and a precision trimmer.

One thing I missed on the Philips was a foil shaving attachment. However, if your main goal is trimming and shaping facial and head hair, I don’t consider its absence a major drawback. Like Hatteker, the Multigroom 3000 is washable, so the attachments can be rinsed easily after use.

Both trimmers provide around 60 minutes of cordless runtime, but there is a significant difference in charging time. Hatteker takes about 90 minutes to fully charge, while the Multigroom 3000 takes roughly 3 hours.

Where Philips clearly wins for me is build quality. Its plastic construction feels noticeably sturdier and more refined in the hand, whereas the Hatteker feels a little more budget-oriented. Hatteker, however, counters with features you won’t find on the Philips, including a digital LCD battery display and a dedicated storage stand.

So, which one should you choose? If build quality and sharper trimming performance are your priorities, I’d choose the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000. But if you want more attachments, an LCD display, a storage stand, and a faster charge at a similarly affordable price, the Hatteker remains a compelling option despite its more basic construction.

Verdict

The Hatteker beard trimmer is a versatile all-in-one grooming kit that delivers impressive value at its budget-friendly price. After my hands-on experience, I found the trimmer heads capable, the battery reliable, and the overall feature set surprisingly comprehensive for the money.

It isn’t perfect; the foil shaver is underwhelming, the longer comb settings feel less stable, and replacement parts can be difficult to find. But these are reasonable compromises at this price, especially with the added peace of mind of a 1-year guarantee.

If you want a feature-packed multigrooming kit without spending much, the Hatteker beard trimmer is one of the right grooming tools.
