My Personal Experience
After using the new generation Philips Norelco Multigroom 9000 (MG9575/49) extensively, I came away with a clear impression: it isn’t a revolutionary upgrade over the Multigroom 7000, but it’s an exceptionally complete grooming kit with thoughtful refinements. Most of the improvements come from the attachments and accessories rather than the trimmer itself.
Design & Build Quality
The first thing I noticed was how familiar it felt. The Multigroom 9000 uses the same metal-bodied design as the 7000, so it still feels solid, premium, and exceptionally well built. The metal frame gives it excellent durability, but it also makes the trimmer noticeably heavier than plastic competitors. If you prefer lightweight grooming tools, you’ll probably feel the weight during longer grooming sessions.
Philips has added a slightly more textured grip on the 9000, and it does improve confidence in dry hands. However, the metal body still becomes slippery when my hands are wet. Beard Density Sensor: Did I Notice It?
